When Trump calls dyslexia a disqualification, he isn’t talking about Gavin Newsom.
He’s defining who counts.
On March 16th, Donald Trump sat at the Resolute Desk with puppet JD Vance behind him and said some of the most genuinely revealing things any American president has said in public. Not the most inflammatory, though it made my inflammation flare up. Not the most dishonest, though there were plenty of lies. The most revealing, because every few minutes, with zero awareness that he was doing it, he told the truth about how he sees power.
You see, it’s not that Trump slips and tells the truth. It’s that the truth keeps slipping out. Every few minutes he returned to the same idea from a different angle: loyalty is the point, and anything that interrupts it is a problem for him.
I don’t even know where to start with that shit show. Stay with me as I attempt to connect the dots…
